How to Play Valoria

A fantasy isometric MMORPG. A quick path from your first login to gathering, combat, and trading — written for players, not developers.

Start here: your first hour

Connect your wallet, pick a display name, and choose a realm. You spawn in Valoria Meadow already wearing the basic Traveler set — no faction yet. You pick a side only later, when you Ascend at combat level 10.

Click the ground to move. Your starter gear is weak, so early fights lean on spacing and Mend more than armor. Walk up to a tree, rock, or fishing spot and gather your first materials.

The world at a glance

Valoria is a chain of floating isles. The safe zones are for learning and gathering; the frontier is where the best loot — and the most risk — lives.

Valoria MeadowSafe — home base

Where you spawn. Bank your loot, restock at shops, and gather your first Gleamwood logs and Skystone ore. No PvP here.

Ashenfell ForestSafe — gathering

Quiet woods to the north through the meadow portal. More starter nodes and room to level your gathering skills in peace.

EventideTown

The district town. Find the Armorer to learn gear recipes (tiers 2–5) and the Arena gate for duels. The north gate opens onto the frontier.

BloodmoorOpen PvP — frontier

The only source of tier 3–5 materials: Embertrees, Stormsilver veins, void essence. Open PvP against the opposing faction and aggressive mobs — but there's no item loss: fall here and you wake back at your bound Spire, gear intact. The Warlord's rift waits at its heart.

Combat: spacing, tempo, rewards

Target an enemy by clicking it or pressing Tab. Your weapon auto-attacks every 1.2s; layer abilities on top with Q, W, and R. Mend (E) restores 35% of your max HP on a 15s cooldown. Every landed hit has a 10% chance to crit for double damage.

Your three abilities depend on your weapon class. Mobility abilities (Dash / Blink / Lunge) unlock at combat level 10.

ClassPrimary (Q)Area (W)Mobility (R)
SwordHeavy Strike ×2Splash (2.6 radius)Dash, 18 spd
MaceSmite ×2.5Quake (3.2 radius)Blink, 6 tiles
AxeCleave ×2.2Whirlwind (2.9 radius)Lunge, 7 tiles

Gathering, tools & crafting

Three gathering skills level all the way to 99: Woodcutting (chop trees), Mining (break rock), and Fishing (catch fish, then cook it for food). Press F at a node to gather; richer nodes need higher levels.

Gear climbs five tiers across helm, chest, boots, and a weapon. Each craft eats the previous tier plus materials. Learn recipes from an Armorer in Eventide, then craft up the ladder — tier 5 (Voidforged) needs rare void essence from Bloodmoor. Expand your bag from 15 toward 28 slots as you go.

Leveling & Ascension

Combat skills (Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints) cap at level 30; your combat level is capped at 30 too. Gathering skills go to 99. You start with all skills at 1, except Hitpoints at 10.

At combat level 10 you Ascend — pledging to the Aurelians (children of the dawn) or the Nyxborn (heirs of the dusk) for your wings, and unlocking mobility abilities and the frontier. Once Ascended you can found or join a guild, which holds a single faction — only fellow Aurelians (or fellow Nyxborn) may enlist. Bind your spawn point at a Spire and push deeper.

PvP & honor

The safe zones never flag you for PvP. Bloodmoor is open combat: the opposing faction and aggressive mobs can kill you. There's no item loss — fall and you simply wake back at your bound Spire with your gear, but you lose ground and the run.

Kills earn honor (100 per fresh kill, less for repeats) that climbs 14 ranks from Soldier to Officer, then into faction-wide competitive standings. Defeat the Crimson Warlord with your faction to mint a shared gold pool.

Economy & trade

One currency: gold, and it's scarce. Monsters drop materials, not gold — you sell loot to vendors, but each vendor only pays from a capped daily gold pool. Gold buys crafting, recipes, and the rarest gear, and gates the top tier.

Trade with other players at the Auction House — visit Auctioneer Lucilla in Eventide's forum to list items. Every sale burns a 5% gold tax (the main gold sink), and you can hold up to 8 active listings. A free spin at the Fountain of Fortune and the world boss both reset daily at 06:00 server time.
